Hi Team,
Great to see most of you at the nutrition seminar, but boy, puts a different spin on 'good nutrition' doesn't it!
Got in for a workout this morning after being out of action with a nasty head cold for the past week. Aiming to be back to full strength in another week (on Docs advice).
Has anyone booked in for the blood analysis at Discover Health? Getting mine done later this month
Did a little research on our team name -
In Greek mythology Athena was widely known in one of her roles as "Athena Goddess of War", it was as a mediator and a planner that she excelled. She always worked to prevent war, but once war had been joined the goddess Athena fought efficiently for her side.
Major Temple Sites: The city of Athens, which is named after her. The Parthenon is her best-known, and best-preserved, temple.
Interesting Fact: One of her epithets (titles) is "Grey-eyed". Her gift to the Greeks was the useful olive tree. The underside of the olive tree's leaf is grey, and when the wind lifts the leaves, it shows Athena's many "eyes".
Happy Training!

Hope the team are out there working? I am proud to report that I made it to the gym for a full 25 minutes today (Sunday) - had a panicky feeling that I hadn't been since Friday and that tomorrow the gym is closed, so quickly rushed down there so I could get my card swiped before closing time!! Perhaps I have a competitive streak after all?
ReplyDeleteKeen to hear how others are going! And by the way Rick, remember how you said on Friday to tell you if anything hurt after that session? Well my backside (glutes!) have been aching badly!!! I had to get up at 3am and take a pain killer they were aching so bad! I'm sure that can't be normal?
PLEASE tell that there is something in the rule book stating that we are not obliged to massage other team members sore muscles!
