Well team, we’re almost there!
Just wanted to take a moment to say a few things to anyone who ends up reading this.
To the A team – Athena, you have been a fantastic bunch who have inspired and motivated me to push that bit more, to go that bit further. Rick, thanks for your tips, support and regular encouraging/motivational emails. Zach, I won’t ever forget the training session involving the box!
To all other teams in the challenge – you have also motivated me – as well as bringing out a very competitive side. I’ve enjoyed the camaraderie, sometimes endured pain and loved sharing the high energy as we staggered our way through Active Fit, lunged and pumped iron through Re-flex, lengthened and toned our bodies during Yoga and Pilates, sweated for 60 minutes during Spin, learnt the finer techniques of how to throw a punch in Box-It, got a max work out in minimum time with MC2, suffered sore shins through Kick-It and ran the local streets with the pack in Run-It.
To Juddy, the PT’s and Instructors – you guys rock! Thanks for the considerable organisation, time and effort you have put into your teams. Count me in for next winter if you choose to run the programme again! Group Fitness really does push you outside your comfort zone and allows the average person to reach goals once thought too lofty to achieve.
The challenge that remains for this white girl is to attempt to coordinate feet and arms in Latino tonight at 7 - all with no alcohol to help!
I guess that’s where Saturday night will be good. Look forward to seeing lots of you at The Paddington, to share stories, celebrate the fact that we are all winners as we stuck at it throughout the challenge and enjoy a few well-earned drinks.

PS – someone can take my place in Spin at 9.30am on Sunday! I’ll be sleeping in!
